Below the Line That Matters Understanding PTEB and the Journey to EBITDA
Ask most hotel department heads what GOP means, and they can explain it fairly well. Ask the same group about PTEB or the layers between GOP and EBITDA, and the room often goes quiet. This is not because the concept is especially complicated. It is because these layers sit slightly outside daily operational visibility, discussed mostly in finance meetings and owner reports rather than in the morning briefing.
